Installing Tape Guides in Your DuraLabel PRO Series

Overview

Tape guides are required for ½" label supply and shrink tube sizes ½" and smaller. Larger vinyl and shrink tube supply are held in place by the adjustable label guides.

How to Install Tape Guides

1. Load shrink tube or ½" label supply and thread it through the cutter.
2. Find the tape guide to match the size of label or shrink tube supply loaded in your printer.
3. While facing the front of the printer, hold the tape guide with the grooved side facing down and the cutout opening facing up.
4. Slip the cutout opening into the left adjustable label guide, opening slightly. Do not press all the way into place. NOTE: You may need to move the supply slightly to allow it to move freely in the grooved section of the tape guide.
5. Align the label supply under the tape guide, fitting it in the grooved section and then pressing the tape guide into place.
6. Move the adjustable label guides toward each other until the tape guide touches the right adjustable label guide and the label guides cannot move any further.
7. The label supply should now be aligned over the media sensor. If it isn’t, slide the media sensor to center it beneath the supply.
8. Close the printer cover and you’re ready to print.
