Installing Small Supplies in DuraLabel Toro Max

Overview

If the size of the supply loaded is too small, it may not be able to hit the sensor consistently. To resolve this, Graphic Products offers tape guides that can be clipped onto the sensors and help position the supply.

Tape Guide & Shrink-Tubing Sizes

There are four sizes of tape guide and shrink-tubing supply:

• 1/2" TG
• 1/4" ST
• 1/8" ST
• 3/16" ST

NOTE: For labeling supply purposes, Tape Guides and Shrink-Tubing are commonly referred to by the abbreviations TG and ST.

For Toro Max, the instructions in this article apply to the following small-sized supplies:

• SKU: DLTMG-50; Description: DLTM/DLBM 1/2 Non-Reveal Tape Guide
• SKU: DLTMG-25; Description: DLTM/DLBM 1/4 Shrink-Tube Guide
• SKU: DLTMG-125; Description: DLTM/DLBM 1/8 Shrink-Tube Guide
• SKU: DLTMG-1875; Description: DLTM/DLBM 3/16 Shrink-Tube Guide

NOTE: 3/8" Shrink-Tubing and 1/2" Tape with Reveal Edge no longer require an extra guide.

How to Install Additional Tape Guides

1. Slide the standard guides back. With no guide installed, you will see a half circle on either side of the gap where the guide will sit.
2. Place the detachable guide over the middle point above the sensor. When inserted, the bottom of the guide should rest on these half circles.
3. Press down to snap the detachable sensor into place.
4. Once the guide is clipped in, you can load your supply.

How to Remove Additional Tape Guides

1. Squeeze the tabs on either side of the guide.
2. Rock the guide to one side and gently remove.
